Lush Sheffield Re-Opening

Lush Sheffield (the store based at Fargate) have recently had a redesign. The store has been there for so many years, at least since I was about 11 or 12 and it’s a had a few changes in that time. The most notable, for me, was when the tills moved to the back of the store. I don’t think I need to explain the confusion I felt when I visited after this occurrence. But this redesign is different. This one has made the shop, and items, more accessible. And accessibility is key!

The old design featured a bulky table in the middle of the shop, showcasing the bubble bars and bath bombs, but this is now much smaller! You no longer have to worry about knocking everything onto the floor. Well at least I don’t! It’s nice to not worry about my clumsy side!

The face mask table sits next to it, but with an easy to walk through gap. So you don’t have to worry about bumping into someone either. I like where this table is now. It makes it easier to look at all the different face masks without having to lean too far over the table!

I love that the bath bombs are now by the main window, with vertical displays! This is where the nostalgia kicked in for me though, as that was how they were arranged when I first discovered Lush! I honestly don’t know why they changed this in the first place, it is easier to see which bath bombs are which and you can get to them with ease! The only downside is there are so few these days. I remember when the main reason I visited Lush was for its bath bombs. But now all my favourites have nearly gone. I’m sure I will discover new ones though!

The soaps now have their own location as well, instead of being dotted around everywhere. They are now on their own shelves with some additional ones that I’ve never seen before. I have to stay away from the soaps as I love them, and their scents! If I could afford to buy all of the Honey… I Washed the Kids I would! There is something about that one that makes me feel really happy.

As with most of the Lush events that I’ve been to, I had a cheeky hand massage with some great products. I was shown a face mask that was recommended to me, mainly because my combination skin type is a pain to use any face mask! (And I may have got to make a pot and take it home with me!!) It felt great and my hand felt really pampered! Especially with the use of the Angels on Bare skin massage bar. My skin felt really soft and it made me want to buy one. But I resisted the urge! ( I tend to buy far too much and then never use it…. I think I’m an addict!)

Then I had a decadent hand wash with both a shower gel and a body scrub. At all the events they use more than one product when doing things like this. I feel like it’s such a waste, mainly because of how expensive the products are, and I can never justify doing that myself at home. But I still bought the shower gel and “Yuzu and Cocoa” and the scrub “Rub Rub Rub”, I may use both of them at once every once in a while but it won’t be a regular occurrence.

Lush Sheffield has always been my go to store, and I’m happy with its revamp! The layout is a lot sleeker, and I can find things with ease! It’s always good when a place you enjoy going to has a revamp, especially a revamp that looks this good. MY favourite definitely being the new bath bomb display. I am a sucker for that old look!

As much as I love the design I will have to put off my next trip until I can afford to spend more on the things I love. What’s your favourite product from Lush?

Hasta la fuego
