Lush Gorgeous Moisturiser Review

The container in all it’s glory!

It is a truth universally acknowledge that a blogger (or vlogger) is in want of some Lush products. And I am definitely no exception to this rule!

For Christmas my boyfriend bought me one of the big (and it was big, there must have been about 10 things in it!) gift boxes. I didn’t expect it at all and after he said that he didn’t know what to get me I was shocked that he managed to pic something that I loved! I can’t even remember all the things that were in it but there is one item that I have been using almost constantly since I got it: the Gorgeous moisturiser.

I will admit that the first time I used it I was a little disappointed as the cream seemed too thick for me to be able to wear during the day, mainly as I have a weird combination skin type that doesn’t know whether it’s oily or dry! As life didn’t already have enough problems?! But after a few days I realised I could use it for something that I’ve wanted for a long time: a night moisturiser! I will admit that I’m a little new to all this looking after your skin properly, so I’ve never been too sure what I should be doing. But I had made up my mind in the past few months that I’m going to learn more.

After just a couple of days of using it I already noticed that my skin seemed to feel healthier and it was so much softer than before! But then the temperature dropped in the mornings and my regular moisturiser wasn’t helping to clear up the dry patches that so often plague my skin! This was when I decided to use Gorgeous during the day and it worked wonders! So although it might be too heavy to put on in the middle of the day, first thing in the morning is great as it stops the cold from drying out my skin.

I have always been intrigued by the Lush moisturiser but I’ve never wanted to buy them as they are more than a little out of my price range but to get one as a gift and realise how wonderful it is, was probably one of the best Christmas presents I could have got. And even though it is only small (just 10g!) it is seeming to be long-lasting at the moment! I suppose we will know better once I’ve finished it off! But alas, for now I will be saving a small portion of my money each week so that I can buy a replacement!

I think out of everyone I would most recommend this to people who have dry skin, as it works really well on eliminating that problem from your life, if you want to use it as an all day moisturiser but if you have combination or oily skin I think it would work well as just a night moisturiser.

If any of you have used this before let me know what your thoughts on it were and who would you recommend it to?

Hasta la fuego

Lauren 🙂 x
