The Guilt of Taking a Blogging Break

my lavender tinted world, blogging, blogging break

So it might have been around 3 weeks since I last blogged. It seems like such a long time ago but it also seems like nothing! I had to take that leave of absence as I started a new job with a lot of overtime work, so much overtime that I’ve barely had time to rest properly in the last few weeks. Not that I’ve disliked doing the work it’s just really tiring and I’ve been wanting to spend time with my family seeing as I’d been away from them for so long.

My main guilt has been towards my blog. I started to feel like I was letting people down and the longer I stayed away the more I felt like I wouldn’t be able to come back. A weird feeling I know but I’m hoping it’s not just me that feels like it. I almost feel like I will be judged for having a break despite knowing that there are quite a few people who do it and that sometimes you just need some time that isn’t dedicated to promoting and writing.

I’m hoping that this mini break will be the last for awhile as I have quite a few posts waiting for me to hit the “publish” button, but maybe after I’ve gotten the pictures loaded onto my laptop that I need. I do feel motivated to carry on, I just need to find the time between my real job now. I thought I might have more free time to blog when I came back from Spain but I wasn’t counting on the 11 hour work days that I have been doing.

So I’m going to take this moment to say look forward to what I have installed for the next few months as I have quite a few good ideas up my sleeve for you all! 😀

Hasta la fuego
