You know when you have a post saved as a draft and you think you’ve scheduled it to go live? That’s what I did with my October Fitness post. I honestly thought that this had already gone live, so imagine my surprise when I check my drafts folder and that wasn’t the case? So without any further rambling see the below *missed* post!
A common theme I’ve found so far with these little fitness recaps is that I’ve started doing something different and new each month, and I think that might be part of my problem. This month I started the 30 day challenges for bums and abs. You know, the two problem areas. I’m hoping that if I can doe this for the entire month I will start to see some positive improvements. At least I’ll have more of a focus on what body areas to concentrate on. The only issue I have is that I’ve tried these before and I couldn’t stick to the full 30 days. But I’m positive I will have more luck with it now!
I’ve started doing something new and different again because I’ve not seen any changes again, in pounds or inches! It’s a little disheartening when I’ve been trying more than usual but hopefully this new plan for my October fitness will go a long way to help. Especially as I don’t know how often I will be able to run once it starts to get too dark after work again! The joys of having light sensitive exercise plans. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that this will help me get back into exercising at home. If not, I’m sure I will find something else to do in November!
As you can probably guess, I’ve not really done much running. I was going really well for a couple of weeks but it quickly dropped from a few times a week to just once and then to shorter distances. I am annoyed with myself because I know how much running helps me. But I think that I needed to get to a weight and size where running outside is easier for me. The amount of weight I’ve put has hindered me and I want to change that before I go any further with it!
One thing I’ve not yet fully changed is my diet. I know that this is a real stickler for me and if I made the change I would be able to get the results that I wanted. So far it’s not been possible, but I am hoping once I’ve moved in with Todd I will have more range to cook better meals. Or at least reduce my portions sizes! I’m feeling less confident about dropping the weight I wanted before the new year. But I feel that if I make the right changes now, 2018 will be an improvement.
Maybe in November I will have finally been able to make the changes I need. And stick to them! It would be nice to see in December feeling better about myself. And even nicer to see in 2018 feeling that way. I guess we will have to wait and see.
Hasta la fuego
