It’s over! It’s done! I’m free!
I am of course talking about my dissertation. I submitted it via turnitin last night and handed in my paper copy this morning. It was such a relief to be finished with it and to not worry any longer. I now have time for everything that I have been neglecting: translations, presentations, TV………
The stress of the dissertation has made me realise just how important it is to manage your time properly to make sure that everything is done to your best ability and to not make yourself stressed when you realise you only have an hour left to go and you have half it still to finish. I’ve been sat watching my friends as the deadline quickly approached and how stressed and upset they were getting and I’m so glad that I wasn’t in their positions.
Hopefully this means that I will be able to stay with this motivation through the Christmas holidays with my essays and presentations that I have to write. But I think I will give myself some time off for a few weeks whilst I’m at home so I don’t have to worry and stress out so early in the holidays. But I’m hoping to get everything done before like the 6th January as then I can relax before I have to jump into lectures.
Also, over Christmas I want to try and get a few new ideas and projects up and running as I will have some spare time. I really want to start writing reviews for books, albums, films, anything basically. But I want to start a new blog for this but I refuse to do so until I can think of a title that is somewhat catchy and rememberable as it will help. I also, want to start a new youtube series but I don’t want to give too much info away as I really want this to be a surprise as it is quite an adventurous idea! So fingers crossed on me pulling this off.
I really can’t wait until lectures end as I’m feeling so tired and I know that I’m going to need the 5 weeks off to replenish my energy for the 12 weeks after Christmas especially as I will have to be revising for my finals throughout that semester and I want to do the best that I possibly can in my degree.
Next time, I hope to bring you news on at least one of my ideas 😀
Hasta la fuego
Lauren 🙂 x
